1. My recipient does not receive messages: How to set up dMessage ?
Setting dMessage is divided into 3 steps:
A - Create a shared folder with the following permissions:
- Read for everyone
- Read/write for the people who are going to send the messages.
This folder is the "MessageFolder".
B - Install the dMessage client on all workstations which are going to receive the messages.
We recommend you to install it silently with the following command:
"path to setup.exe" /S /MF="UNC path to the MessageFolder" /MODE=AGENT
This command works with the trial version.
C- Install the dMessage console on the sender's workstations
We recommend you to install it silently with the following command:
"path to setup.exe" /S /MF="UNC path to the MessageFolder"
This command works with the trial version.
2. Can I use a silent install for dMessage ?
Yes, there is a silent installation, the following command lines make it works:
- Silent mode complete:
« UNC path to Setup.exe » /S
- Silent mode complete and choice of the directory of messages:
«UNC path to dMessageSetup.exe» /S /MF=«UNC path to the directory of messages»
- Silent mode and agent of reception:
« UNC path to dMessageSetup.exe » /S /Mode=AGENT
- Silent mode and choice of the directory of messages:
« UNC path to dMessageSetup.exe » /S /MF=« UNC path to the directory of messages » /Mode=AGENT
How to uninstall dMessage ?
- Click the Windows start menu
- Click on "All Programs"
- Select dMessage and click on Uninstall
